My Experience meeting the Ustad Himself!!

This weekend (15th January), I attended Ustadji Zakir Hussain's concert in Chowdiah Memorial Hall. This Concert was part of the Aadi Anant Festival of Indian Music. Zakir Hussain played Tabla, Anantha R.Krishnan played the Mridangam, Navin Sharma on the Dholak and Sabir Khan on the Sarangi.

The musicians followed the 16 count cycle(The Teen Taal). This was my first classical music concert and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire performance.

The best part about the Concert was that, I got to meet my Idol, Ustadji Zakir Hussain. I am learning to play the Tabla and I had a very good opportunity to meet him Backstage. Once the show got over, the musicians bowed and they went backstage. That's when, I plucked up the courage to go there. The moment I saw him, I showed respect by touching his feet. After that, Ustadji went inside a room to take some rest.

In about 5 minutes, the manager came out of the room and said that Ustadji was late for his flight to the US, so he would only be able to meet the kids. I was lucky and I took some snaps with him and all of us spoke to him for some time and then we were asked to leave the room after a group photo.

I love this experience!!!

As all the kids inside were in a hurry to take snaps with him, I could not take a very good snap but I am really happy with the pics I took. The above pic is one of the selfies I took. Infact, I would like to thank my Aunt a lot because she was the one who told me about this concert......

The Aruino Board

An Arduino basically is a Micro controller board, Which means it can be used for making electronic projects like robots, quadrocopters etc.  It is completely open-source. So it doesn't mean that you must need an Arduino licensed board. You can make a variety of circuits using Arduino. You can also program the Arduino to do certain things. I have the Arduino starter kit. It is available online on both Amazon and Flipkart. The basic starter kit consists of the main Arduino board, a bread board, jumper wires, LEDs, resistors and push buttons. Functions of these Parts: Bread Board:  It is a building board for prototyping electronic projects. Jumper Wires:  It can be used for connecting various components in the breadboard.  LED: It is also called L ight E mitting D iode. It is a self explanatory component. Resistors: It is used to control the flow of current. Push Buttons: It is a type of switch or button which when pressed turns on or off an electrica...

Badminton is a sport played between two people or teams using racquets to hit a ShuttleCock across a net. This Sport is usually played outdoors while official matches are played in Indoor courts. Badminton can be played both Singles and Doubles (including doubles-mixed). The sport is very similar to Tennis. The main differences are that tennis is played with a ball whereas badminton is played with a shuttle cock and the other one is that badminton courts are smaller compared to tennis courts. The History: The game was invented nearly in the 1800s. It was a contemporary form of badminton called 'poona'.  British Officers took this game to England where they named it Badminton.
